Snow Squad Volunteer Program

Littleton will match volunteers with senior home owners who need help keeping their sidewalks clear in the winter time.

The Snow Squad is a volunteer program administered by the City of Littleton through the Aging Well Resource Center, and is intended to provide snow removal assistance for city residents who are unable to shovel their sidewalks.

Snow Squad volunteers are assigned to an address in the city and agree to clear the sidewalks of snow within 24 hours of the end of a snowstorm.
Being a Snow Squad volunteer means you will:
  • Call your assigned resident when a snowstorm has ended, to let them know when you will come over to shovel;
  • Clear snow from sidewalks, and clear a path to the front door of your assigned address within 24 hours of the end of a snowstorm;
  • Call the Aging Well Resource Center if you will not be able to shovel after a snowstorm.
As a Snow Squad volunteer, you will not need to:
  • Shovel if the snowfall is light enough to melt within 24 hours;
  • Clear driveways.
Snow Squad volunteers do not accept payment or tips for their service.
