Interns examine public art

This summer, interns from the University of Denver (DU) have examined and inventoried the City of Littleton’s public art collection. The students are enrolled in DU’s Art History master’s degree program.

Along with Littleton Museum staff, the students completed condition reports, took photographs, and collected geo-data for a future walking tour project. This information is vital to track the condition of the Littleton Fine Arts Board (FAB) collection, which is funded by the City of Littleton, chosen by the FAB, and managed by the Littleton Museum. The collection consists of over 200 pieces, including sculpture, paintings, mosaics, photographs, and prints, and is exhibited on a rotating basis in parks and in public areas of city buildings.
