Littleton Museum awarded accreditation

Children learning from Littleton Museum employeeIn July, the Littleton Museum was awarded accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). Accreditation demonstrates the highest professional standards for education, public service and collections stewardship, and a commitment to continued institutional improvement.

In a letter to the museum, AAM President Laura L. Lott stated, “By achieving this mark of distinction, you are a leader in the field — exemplifying the best museums have to offer and reminding both your peers and the public how much museums really matter to communities.” The Littleton Museum has been continually accredited since 1977.
